SUMMARY:Collaborative modular design for sustainable theatre-making: MOD200 by Collectif 17h25
DESCRIPTION:Modular design (ie\, reusable parts which can be dismantled and reused on multiple productions) is key to a theatre’s ability to reduce purchasing new materials\, and waste.\nJoin the Collectif 17H25 for a deep dive into the newly-released modular design framework\, MOD200. \nThe Collectif 17H25 is made up of five large opera/theatre houses in France and Belgium: the Theatre du Chatelet\, the Opera National de Paris\, the Opera National de Lyon\, the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. For the past five years the Collectif have been collaboratively developing and testing a structural model and would now like to share their learnings\, guidance\, and specifications more widely. \nWhilst MOD200 has been made by opera houses\, it is relevant for work in theatres\, festivals\, live music\, etc\, so please do come along if you are interested in the technical aspects of modular structures\, and how we share these ideas internationally. \nThe webinar will be held in English.
