5. November 2019Shanghai and Wrocław are the two pilot cities for a project that the ITI World Federation counts among its most prestigious: They will be the first cities to bear the title „World Performing Arts Capital“ for one year from May 2021.
The project will be accompanied by an advisory board under the auspices of UNESCO, which includes Mohamed Saif Al-Afkham and Tobias Biancone, President and General Director of the ITI World Association, as well as Joachim Lux, President of the German ITI Centre.
Other members of the Advisory Board include Yvette Hardie, President of the World Association of Children’s and Youth Theatres ASSITEJ, and Vito Minoia, who chairs the International Association for Theatre in Prisons (IATiP).
The Advisory Board is currently meeting again in Paris.
