10:35 AM – 10:55 AM: Spatial Encounters – Hybrid-Real Creative Spaces (Franziska Ritter & Pablo Dornhege, digital.DTHG)

The artistic-experimental project is dedicated to the question of how virtual reality can create a hybrid-real stage environment in which artists and audiences meet and become both actors and designers of a jointly created experience. In an experimental approach, digital.DTHGteam-together with musician David Wedel (concertmaster of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra)-developed a possible answer to this question. In the virtual sound stage „SpatialEncounters“, the audience immerses themselves in digital worlds with VR sets; through their movements and their interaction in the space, they create a new visual scenery, which is then interpreted ad hoc into sound.
