12. Oktober 2018Every year on and around 25 October, historic theatre buildings across Europe, as well as institutions and initiatives devoted to our theatre heritage, celebrate the European Historic Theatres Day.
120 historic theatres in Europe are already connected through the European Route of Historic Theatres network

Richard Norman presents a talk on Frank Matcham’s theatres in film including historic clips of location scenes in The King’s Theatre Southsea, the Victoria Palace London, the Longton Empire in the Potteries, the New Cross Empire, and the Granville Wallham Green. Including a showing of “Bombastic Rubbish”, a light-hearted film celebrating ‘Matchless Matcham’ produced by Angel Sharp Media with the assistance of the Frank Matcham Society.
